Ongoing Advanced TrainingContinues support and community building
After Level 3 students are encouraged to participate in the Ongoing Advanced Training.
This Training supports students in the first years of practice and creates a Craniosacral community.
The foundation structure of the advanced Training is based on a weekend workshop once every 3 months, followed by a practice day a month later. Occasionally there are variations in this pattern, such as special one day events or 4 day workshops. Thus after completing the basic training students remain connected and have the opportunity of continuing education and refining skills.
Lower back and neck sequences are revised and augmented to become even more subtle and effective. The program includes a special women’s workshop, covering specific work with the female pelvis, particularly during and after pregnancy. A 4 day workshop on Craniosacral and Natural Vision is periodically offered.
The Facial complex, which was introduced in level 3 is treated in great depth. Techniques which require ‘knowing hands’ are studied in detail. This work can greatly help persons suffering from sinus, middle ear and Trigeminal nerve problems
Dr Sutherland referred to the skills required to work with the delicate structures of the face as ‘like the art of the watchmaker dealing with a small lady’s watch …’
Underpinning all these techniques rests his guidance to work with the Tide and the Potency in the Fluid, palpable expressions of the Breath of Life.
